Wirksworth Town Council
This site will provide you with information about the role of the Town Council and the services it provides, together with contact details, meeting dates, minutes, and various other publications.
Wirksworth is a thriving community in a market town (population approximately 5,000) within the Derbyshire Dales District of the East Midlands, and situated on the edge of the Peak District National Park. This is a very popular location for walkers and holiday-makers making Wirksworth an ideal town to visit.
The Town Council in Wirksworth plays an active role in local government and works in partnership with several organisations and groups, to keep Wirksworth a vibrant town and to provide or improve facilities. Read more about the council.

Councillors from the Town Council, Derbyshire Dales District and Derbyshire County Councils have paid tribute to Gladwyn, who was proud to serve his town and community as a Councillor and to hold the office of Mayor this year. In the words of many he was "Wirksworth through and through."
Each year the Mayor raises funds for charity. This year, Gladwyn selected local groups which he felt represented all age groups within Wirksworth:
The family has asked that any donations be made to 'Mayor's Charity - Wirksworth Town Council.' Please contact the Town Council email@example.com if you would like to make a direct bank payment.
